History of Bay Sailors

Bay Sailors was formed in 1993 by Bill Butler with a few eager sailors, meeting in a closet-size room in the Bell Buildings on West Shore Boulevard, Tampa, Florida. Gradually the club grew stronger and was incorporated in 1995, as a not-for-profit organization. The club, with a growing fleet of skippers and crew, now has a larger, more convenient meeting location, and many activities and events backed by active club members. Sailing cruises take place in the Tampa Bay and Gulf of Mexico areas of Tampa, St. Petersburg, and Clearwater, Florida in the USA.
